Ardana and Abby

Our China Journey

Abby received her 2nd set of shots on Friday she will have to have one more set and she will be caught up on her shots.
On Sunday we took Ardana to see Shrek 3 at the movie theater she really enjoyed herself. We left Abby with Jim's mom and dad so we could spend some " mom , dad, and Dana " time. We have noticed in the last week that Dana has become increasingly jealous of Abby. I hope that this is just a phase that won't last long.
I have posted a picture of the girls in their Dale Earnhart shirt's my sister Cyndi got them

Today is August 13th, Ardana went to get her haircut today. She wanted to be dressed in matching outfits here is a picture of them together in their matching dresses.
It has almost been a month since we posted Abby has been going to Occupation Therapy for 5 weeks she has 2 more weeks to go and she will not have to go anymore. She has physically developed into a 10 month old. Abby is climbing stairs and crawling all over the house. She pulls herself up and grabs anything in sight. Abby sleeps close to 12 hours a night. She normally goes to bed at 8 pm and gets up about 8 am. Ardana is quite the opposite she goes to bed about 10, then gets up about 2 and climbs into mom and dad's and sleeps to about 7 am.
Ardana's 4th birthday is coming up on Sept 1st. She wants to do a princess's birthday. We ordered a Cinderella cake on Sunday and then went to pick up the party supplies. She can not wait until her birthday party.
Sorry about the blog not being updated just haven't found the time.

We got back from China on June 30th. We have been struggling a little with the jet lag. It took Dana almost 2 weeks to get back to the correct time zone. We now all adjusted. Dana is recovering from a sinus infection.
We took Abby to the doctor on July 2nd. Her weight was just under 14# which is only in the 2nd percentile for her age range. The doctor told she had mild anemia, and due to this anemia she did not really have any interest in playing, crawling, and she barely would sit up. She also was sleeping a lot. Over the past 2 weeks she has improved tremendously she is crawling on all fours, sitting up and playing. She is even trying to pull herself up to stand. We have decided to have her start some occupational therapy to help her back strength and her fine motor skills (she has a hard time holding on to toys and she clinches her hands shut a lot). The therapy is only half hour long 1 day a week. We have to take her back to the doctor on Monday July 16th. The shot records we received from the orphanage the doctor does not believe so she will have to get some immunizations then as well, they are going to do all her 6 month shots.
Dana is adjusting to being the big sister in the morning she tells me when she is awake. She is also starting to play with her during the day.
I have not gotten to take any new pictures of the girls so I will post a picture of them together in China.

We are still waiting on our TA from China. Tomorrow May 30th will be 4 weeks since we received our referral. We received our visas back in the mail last week. This week I am hoping to get our suitcases out and start packing. We are all getting a little anxious about knowing our travel dates. We wish we could leave tomorrow.

Ardana was a flower girl in my sister Cyndi's wedding on the 19th of May. She did really well throwing the flower petals before the bride walk down on the aisle. She was the life of the party, she danced and ran around until after midnight at the reception. Ardana then curled up on her dad's shoulder and out like a light in about 2 minutes. We all had a really great time. I have posted a picture of Dana getting her hair done before the wedding.
