We got back from China on June 30th. We have been struggling a little with the jet lag. It took Dana almost 2 weeks to get back to the correct time zone. We now all adjusted. Dana is recovering from a sinus infection.
We took Abby to the doctor on July 2nd. Her weight was just under 14# which is only in the 2nd percentile for her age range. The doctor told she had mild anemia, and due to this anemia she did not really have any interest in playing, crawling, and she barely would sit up. She also was sleeping a lot. Over the past 2 weeks she has improved tremendously she is crawling on all fours, sitting up and playing. She is even trying to pull herself up to stand. We have decided to have her start some occupational therapy to help her back strength and her fine motor skills (she has a hard time holding on to toys and she clinches her hands shut a lot). The therapy is only half hour long 1 day a week. We have to take her back to the doctor on Monday July 16th. The shot records we received from the orphanage the doctor does not believe so she will have to get some immunizations then as well, they are going to do all her 6 month shots.
Dana is adjusting to being the big sister in the morning she tells me when she is awake. She is also starting to play with her during the day.
I have not gotten to take any new pictures of the girls so I will post a picture of them together in China.
